Local data

Your data stays in the UAE

Microsoft runs two cloud regions in the country: UAE North in Dubai and UAE Central in Abu Dhabi. The UAE is one of Microsoft 365's data residency locations, so a tenant registered with the UAE as its country keeps core data such as mailboxes, OneDrive and SharePoint files in the UAE.

For Abu Dhabi organisations that are asked where company email is stored, this gives a clear answer. We confirm the data location of your tenant before you sign.

How it works

From quote to working mailboxes, without a site visit

1. Send your headcount

Tell us on WhatsApp how many users you have and what they use today: Gmail, cPanel email, an old Exchange server or another Microsoft account.

2. AED quote the same day

You receive a quote per plan in AED with 5% VAT shown separately, ready for your LPO.

3. Setup and migration

We create or take over your tenant, connect your domain, move mailboxes, contacts, calendars and files, and set up multi-factor sign-in.

4. Handover

Staff receive sign-in instructions, Office is installed, and we stay on hand for the first week of questions. On-site visits are arranged when a job needs one.

Buying

Buying Microsoft 365 in Abu Dhabi through Proto Link

Microsoft sets list prices per user per month, and they changed on 1 July 2026: Business Basic and Business Standard went up, Business Premium stayed the same. Your final price depends on the plan mix, the number of users and whether you commit monthly or annually. We do not publish fixed prices because Microsoft changes them; send your headcount on WhatsApp and we reply with an AED quote, usually the same working day.

Quoted in AED, against your LPO

We quote per user in AED with 5% VAT shown separately, supply against your company LPO and issue a VAT invoice. No company credit card or overseas billing is needed.

Annual or monthly commitment

Annual commitment gives the best per-user rate and still lets you add users at any time. Monthly commitment costs more per user but lets you reduce seats month to month.

Setup and migration included

Tenant setup, mailbox and file migration, user onboarding and activation are included at no extra charge on Microsoft licences bought from Proto Link.

Renewals tracked for you

We track your renewal date and remind you before it, so prices, seat counts and plans can be reviewed instead of auto-renewing unchanged.

Common questions

Questions about Abu Dhabi

Can you supply Microsoft 365 to a company in Abu Dhabi?

Yes. We supply Microsoft 365 Business and Enterprise plans to companies across Abu Dhabi, quoted in AED against your LPO, with setup and migration included.

Is Microsoft 365 data stored in the UAE?

For tenants registered with the UAE as their country, core Microsoft 365 data such as mailboxes, OneDrive and SharePoint files is stored in Microsoft's UAE datacenter regions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Do you need to visit our Abu Dhabi office?

Usually not. Licensing, setup and migration are done remotely. We arrange an on-site visit when a job needs one, for example a large office move or hardware setup.

Which Microsoft 365 plan is best for a small Abu Dhabi company?

Business Standard suits most office staff. Business Premium is better value if you handle client data or staff work on phones and laptops outside the office. Field staff can use Business Basic.

How long does setup take?

A small company is typically live within one to three working days of the LPO, depending on how much email needs to be moved.

Can we pay monthly?

Yes. Monthly commitment is available at a higher per-user price than annual commitment, and lets you reduce seats month to month.
